Because the fabric has movement, it features an elegant appearance when worn.

A check material made from specially spun wool raw material that can uniformly mix long and short fibers.
After weaving a raw fabric with a check pattern of depth in color using threads dyed in various colors, only the wool side is overdied to layer colors, reproducing a faded vintage-like color.

It expresses the traditional Japanese aesthetic of "ma" (negative space) and "inbalance (imperfect)" through clothing, and is particular about the materials and patterns used. The items themselves are not flashy, aiming for a clothing style that enhances the individuality of the wearer.
ULTERIOR Designer Profile
The founder is Daisuke Maki. After graduating from a fashion vocational school, he gained experience in sales and buying at a select shop. Later, he served as a merchandiser for a collection brand, and became independent as a freelancer in 2010. He was appointed director at the time of establishing the brand Savvy in 2013. Savvy paused its brand during the spring/summer 2019 season, and from the autumn/winter 2019 season, he started his own brand "ULTERIOR".
