Workwear-Based Silk Jacket

Based on vintage workwear, the silhouette and materials are updated with a modern interpretation.
The hem spreads in an "H" shape when the first button is fastened, adding a contemporary nuance to the classic appearance.
The waist pockets and inner pockets are reinforced with herringbone tape to ensure durability in parts under stress.
The front features change buttons, allowing for detachable specifications from the gap in the right front facing.
This not only allows for washing by removing the buttons but also makes it easy to exchange.
While inheriting the rationality of workwear to the present day, it has details that evoke a sense of functional beauty as a design.
It is characterized by a rustic expression created by neps and a matte texture, which increases in softness the more it is worn, developing into a unique texture.

A material that has undergone refining and bleaching of silk noil, followed by a special salt-shrink processing (a shrink process for silk) is used.
Unlike glossy silk, silk noil is characterized by its rustic and subdued texture.
It excels in moisture absorption and evaporation, becoming even softer with wear, and grows into a unique character over time.
Originally developed by a pharmaceutical company for filtering liquid pharmaceuticals, this 100% silk material was not used for clothing purposes.
By applying hand dyeing using Arimatsu Narumi dyeing, it features the unique neppy feel and matte expression of silk noil.
The wrinkle effect and puckering due to the difference in shrinkage with reinforcement tape emphasize the three-dimensionality, resulting in a richly expressive finish.
