Workwear-Based Silk Jacket

Based on vintage workwear, the silhouette and materials are updated with a modern interpretation.
The hem flares out in a V shape when the first button is fastened, adding a modern nuance to the classic demeanor.
The waist pockets and inside pockets are reinforced with herringbone tape to ensure durability in high-stress areas.
The front features a change button, allowing for a removable design from the gap in the right front facing.
This enables not only washing the garment by removing the buttons but also easy replacement.
While inheriting the practicality of workwear into modernity, the details convey a functional beauty in design.
Characterized by a rustic expression and matte texture due to nepping, it becomes softer with wear and develops a unique texture.

Uses material refined and bleached from silk noil, with a special shrink-proof treatment (shrink treatment specific to silk).
Unlike glossy silk, silk noil is characterized by its rustic and subdued texture.
It excels in moisture absorption and release, becoming even softer with wear, developing a unique character over time.
Originally developed by a pharmaceutical company for filtering liquid pharmaceuticals, it is based on a 100% silk material that was not used for clothing purposes.
By applying hand-dyeing through Arimatsu Narumi dyeing, the unique nep feel and matte expression of silk noil are highlighted.
The wrinkled feel and the puckering created by the shrinkage difference with reinforcement tape enhance the three-dimensionality, resulting in a richly expressive finish.
