The designer is also an avid movie lover, and many items are influenced by the stories and fashion of characters in films. Based on American casual wear, the design features a unique application of inspiration into patterns and details.
DAIRIKU Designer Profile
The designer is Dairiku Okamoto. Born in 1994. From Nara Prefecture. He launched his brand while attending Vantan Design Institute, winning the grand prize at the Asia Fashion Collection in 2016. In 2017, he presented the brand's first runway collection at New York Fashion Week. From the spring-summer season of 2018, he started the brand in earnest in an exhibition format.
In 2021, he won the grand prize at the TOKYO FASHION AWARD 2022.
In 2022, he presented the autumn-winter collection at Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO.
