Vintage-inspired, Lamrof's printed T-shirt.
-Design-
Redesigned printed T-shirt based on the movie poster by “Sidney Poitier”.
“Sidney Poitier” was a pioneer of Black actors but was criticized by Black people for playing "a Black person liked by white people," leading to his sidelining. Then, starting in the 70s, he began directing Black films known as BLPM (Blackploitation Movies). This T-shirt features a redesigned cover from that era.
Participating in the global film business, which was white supremacist at the time, as a pioneer of Black actors, and returning to the roots of Black culture matches his story with this season's Lamrof concept.

The body is dyed in original colors and has undergone vintage processing.
The print is finished with a characteristic glitter print based on hand distressing techniques.

The vintage processing applied to the details and the faded colors from the dyeing are attractive.
The soundtrack of the original movie is supervised by "CURTIS MAYFIELD" and features the famous song by "THE STAPLE SINGERS".

Lamrof is a Japanese brand that started in the autumn-winter season of 2022.
The concept is "to wear formal attire in a philosophically opposite way."
It develops collections that pay respect to the history and culture of African Americans, which have had a significant impact around the world from the past to the present.
The brand name "Lamrof" is inspired by the reverse spelling that became popular among African American jazz musicians in the 1940s, naming it after reversing "Formal."
