New brand "AXIS" has arrived!
From the 2023 autumn/winter season, we have received two types of shirts from "AXIS," which we have newly started handling!
It's a brand that I am already captivated by, even in the first collection...
I have already briefly introduced it on social media, but I would like to convey more in-depth information on the blog.
First, about the brand.

The concept is 'Connecting different individuals by body type, gender, and age.'
With the individuality of the wearer as the axis (=AXIS), we develop garments that suit anyone.

Isn't it wonderful to have "the individuality of the wearer as the axis"?
Even when looking at the first collection, rather than suggesting fixed shapes or styling,
it feels like a proposal with a sense of inclusion that allows us to decide "how to wear it" or "how we want to wear it," which resonates with me deeply.
This season's first collection for AXIS focuses on shirts as the main item.
There are not many types, but the line-up is sophisticated and packed with attention to detail.
At the exhibition in early March,
the first piece that caught my eye among the shirts on the rack was this one.
33,000 yen (tax included)
A staggering number of buttons.
Front buttons, lined up in a row, 14 of them.
Normally, there are 7, so this has double the number.
The glossy expression unique to shell buttons, combined with the white stitching, creates an incredible impact.
The contrast design of a black body with white stitching is nice too, isn't it?
The fabric is a vintage-like, robust twill fabric with a somewhat workwear feel.
It’s a fabric that I want to wash repeatedly, like raising denim, to give it more depth and softness.
With so many buttons, wearing it casually on its own or over a t-shirt is definitely stylish, but
I hope you'll also try playful styling, like deliberately misaligning button closures or skipping a button.

By the way, a pair of pants made from the same fabric as this shirt is scheduled for the 2024 spring/summer season.

And the other piece is an attention item that will likely become a staple of the brand.

A black pullover shirt made from high-quality wool silk with a brushed feel.
The design that opens deeply from the collar to the front reminds one of a famous piece
but is similar yet different and seems likely to become another masterpiece.
The back features gathers for a three-dimensional silhouette.
There are gathers at the cuffs as well.
This ample amount is irresistible...!
When exposed to natural light, the gentle luster of the silk can be felt, and the relaxed silhouette combined with the beautiful drape creates an outfit that exudes both "relaxation" and "elegance."
Depending on the inner layer, the appearance can change dramatically, which is interesting.
Whether it's a crew neck or turtleneck, high-toned or dark colors, please match according to your mood.
I think this piece will make styling in autumn and winter enjoyable.
